Associate, Restructuring & Insolvency — Los Angeles

Join a global firm's Financial Restructuring & Insolvency team in Los Angeles to work on sophisticated, high‑profile restructuring matters. The role focuses on Chapter 11 and cross‑border insolvency work, including plan development, creditor negotiations, DIP financing, and contested bankruptcy proceedings.

The team handles both in‑court and out‑of‑court restructurings and you will work closely with financial advisers and overseas counsel on Chapter 15 and other cross‑jurisdictional matters. The role offers regular drafting responsibility for pleadings, disclosure statements and transactional documents, and client‑facing opportunities on active matters.

Ideal candidates are collaborative, organized, and eager to deepen their bankruptcy expertise while managing multiple workstreams under partner supervision. The practice emphasizes mentorship, knowledge‑management and exposure to complex restructuring strategy.

• 2–4 years' PQE in bankruptcy/restructuring or related commercial litigation
• Experience with Chapter 11 work; exposure to Chapter 15 or cross‑border insolvency preferred
• Strong legal research and drafting skills (pleadings, motions, disclosure statements)
• Ability to analyze financial information and work with financial advisers; excellent communication and teamwork skills
