An established insurance defence team is seeking an experienced Associate to join its specialist liability practice. The role is open to candidates for the firm's UK offices and offers hybrid working.

The team handles a mixed caseload of complex defendant-side liability matters, with particular focus on stress, bullying, harassment and abuse claims arising in the public sector and blue light/emergency services. The role involves working collaboratively with multi-office teams, insurers, TPAs and other stakeholders on technically demanding cases.

This is a career-progressing opportunity for a candidate with solid technical skills, strong attention to detail, and experience managing high-value and sensitive claims.

Minimum c.5 years PQE in defence-side liability litigation
Proven experience with EL/PL and complex/high-value claims
Familiarity with claims involving stress, harassment, abuse and/or blue light/emergency services
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills; comfortable instructing counsel and liaising with experts and witnesses
Track record of meeting billing and performance targets; excellent attention to detail
