An established national business law firm is seeking a tax-litigation associate to join its Montreal office. The role offers exposure to complex tax disputes across all stages, from audits and notices of objection through appeals at various judicial levels, working with an integrated team of tax specialists.

The position is hybrid and part of a national practice that handles both contentious and advisory tax matters for Canadian and international clients. The successful candidate will take substantive responsibility on files and collaborate with colleagues across offices.

2–6 years of post-qualification experience in tax law, including tax disputes/litigation
Strong knowledge of core income tax principles
Excellent academic record; an advanced tax degree (LL.M. or equivalent) is an asset but not required
Solid drafting, file-management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated interest in developing a career focused on tax litigation
