The role supports preparation and prosecution of patent applications across software and biological subject matter.
This position is open to candidates based in multiple U.S. offices or remote/hybrid arrangements. Attorney candidates may opt for a non-partnership technical/practice track with a reduced billable requirement. Admission (or eligibility) to the state bar corresponding to the primary office location is required for attorneys.
Applications should demonstrate strong technical credentials; transcripts and writing samples will be requested during the hiring process.
- USPTO registration (Patent Agent) or active state bar admission (Patent Attorney)
- Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred (MS or PhD strongly preferred)
- At least 3 years' patent prosecution experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, AI or closely related areas
- Practical experience bridging software and biological subject matter; strong technical writing skills
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication
