Capital Markets Associate — Agency CMBS Securitizations, Charlotte

Seeking an associate to join a capital markets team focused on agency CMBS and commercial mortgage loan securitizations. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents across securitizations and supporting the execution of complex closings.

Typical responsibilities include work on pooling and servicing agreements, offering documents, mortgage loan purchase agreements, certificate purchase agreements, placement agency agreements, legal opinions and related contracts. The team values strong attention to detail, clear communication, collaborative teamwork and a proactive approach to ownership of matters.

• 3–6 years' post-qualification experience in capital markets or structured finance, with specific exposure to CMBS/agency securitizations.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating securitization documents (PSAs, offering documents, purchase agreements, placement agency agreements, legal opinions).
• Experience managing the closing process for complex securitization transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, excellent communication, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a deal-oriented team.
