Apply in confidence →Experienced employment litigator sought for a flexible, non-partner counsel role with a major management-side labor & employment practice. The position focuses on defending employers in single- and multi-plaintiff employment litigation while offering reduced administrative and business-development expectations compared with a shareholder/partner track.
The attorney will be part of a dedicated client team, handling full-cycle defense work including strategy, research, pleadings, discovery management, motion practice, and dispositive motions. Occasional in-person duties (depositions, motion hearings, mediation, or trial) may be required depending on jurisdiction.
The role is remote-eligible but requires residence in a state where the firm maintains a physical office; participation in firm-wide training and development programs is expected.
- Active and good-standing admission to practice law in California; must maintain required admissions in state(s) of residence as applicable
- Minimum of 5+ years of employment litigation experience (law firm or in-house)
- Proven drafting, analytical, and motion practice skills; experience managing discovery and dispositive motions
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to work remotely with responsiveness and accountability
- Ability to collaborate with attorneys, support staff and clients; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
