Commercial Litigation Associate

We are a national law firm with multiple offices across the United States, dedicated to serving our clients and the industries in which they operate. We have an immediate opening in our Denver office for a Commercial Litigation Associate with three to five years of experience preferred.

The successful candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Financial Services and Capital Markets practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation, including conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred, and experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is a plus. Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required.

Candidates must have an excellent academic record, superb writing skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team, superior judgment, the ability to handle multiple projects effectively, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Judicial clerkship experience with a federal court is preferred but not required. Candidates must hold a Colorado bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.

We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan, among other benefits. The compensation range for this position in Denver is $210,000–$240,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Associates are also eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and a Client Development Bonus.

• Experience: Three to five years in commercial litigation (preferred).

• Court Experience: Experience in both state and federal court is preferred; administrative and arbitration experience is beneficial.
• Second-Chair: Trial or arbitration second-chair experience preferred but not required.

• Clerkship: Federal judicial clerkship experience preferred but not required.
