Seeking a mid‑level Compensation & Benefits associate to join a national practice group in New York. The role focuses on equity and executive compensation matters, including equity plan design, proxy disclosure, executive and severance agreements, and tax issues under IRC Sections 280G and 409A.

Work will involve supporting transactions and public company matters such as M&A and IPOs, drafting client memoranda and agreements, and coordinating with transactional and securities teams. The team offers comprehensive employee benefits and parental leave programs and a full package of elective and firm‑paid benefits.

  • 3–6 years post‑qualification experience in compensation and employee benefits work
  • Hands‑on experience with equity plans, executive compensation, proxy disclosures, and IRC Sections 280G and 409A
  • Experience supporting M&A and IPO matters a plus
  • Excellent writing, oral communication and analytical skills; strong academic record
