Join a national law firm’s Compensation & Benefits practice in New York to advise employers and transactional teams on retirement and health & welfare matters. The role focuses on ERISA compliance, qualified plan design and administration, and counseling on benefit issues in M&A and other transactions.

Work will include drafting plan documents and participant disclosures, conducting compliance testing, preparing IRS and DOL filings, responding to audits, and managing correction and compliance projects. Experience with ESOPs and plan asset issues is a plus.

Minimum 6 years of ERISA/employee benefits experience, with emphasis on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans
Proven experience drafting plan documents and disclosures, performing compliance testing, and handling IRS and Department of Labor filings and audits
Experience advising on benefit issues in M&A and other transactions; ESOP and plan‑asset experience desirable
Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills
