The Team

One of the largest dedicated disputes teams in the market, handling large-scale commercial and banking disputes as well as competition litigation. The premium commercial litigation practice is recognised as market leading, with recent industry recognition including Dispute Resolution Team of the Year and Disputes Team of the Year.

Competition litigation is a core and growing area. The team is noted for technical excellence, strategic judgement, and client-focused service, with experience in bringing and defending competition law disputes and acting in collective proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, often with an international element.

The Role

We are looking for a competition associate with c.3–5 years' PQE to join the team. Working directly with partners, you will support a broad range of competition litigation matters, including standalone and follow-on damages actions and collective proceedings before the CAT and the High Court. You will work collaboratively across the wider disputes practice on high-profile, often cross-border matters, and take real responsibility with appropriate supervision. There will also be opportunities to get involved in commercial and banking disputes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years' PQE (or equivalent) in competition litigation.
• Delivers legal and commercial solutions and builds strong, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Manages client experience confidently, developing trusted relationships for the best outcomes.
• Committed to business development and spotting new case opportunities with the team, economists, and counsel.
• Works efficiently and commercially, with strong financial discipline.
