A leading international law firm
Apply in confidence →An excellent opportunity for a mid-level construction lawyer to join a projects, energy and infrastructure team in London. The role sits across non-contentious construction and projects work, offering exposure to energy transition projects (nuclear, hydrogen, battery storage, solar, wind, carbon capture and related sectors) alongside commercial real estate development matters.
You will work on the full project lifecycle — feasibility, procurement and bidding, on-site project support, variations, refinancings and secondary market transactions — and on non-contentious construction documentation for mixed-use, industrial, PRS/BTR, hotel & leisure and high-end residential developments. The role includes international work with colleagues across EMEA and Asia.
The team offers early responsibility, structured mentoring and opportunities to develop either a projects or construction specialism as you progress.
- UK-qualified lawyer (mid-level) with private practice construction experience; equivalent foreign qualifications will be considered.
- Practical non-contentious construction experience — JCT experience required; familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, and consultancy appointments desirable.
- Experience managing transactional construction files with limited supervision and delivering pragmatic commercial advice.
- Interest in projects work (PFI/PPP, greenfield, asset management and operational project transactions) and in legal technology/AI tools.
- Strong drafting, legal research, organisation, and time-recording skills; ability to supervise junior fee-earners.
