Typical matters include delay and disruption claims, payment disputes (mechanic’s lien, bond, stop notice), breach of contract litigation, and transactional work such as drafting and negotiating construction contracts and change orders. This position will sit in one of the firm's California offices (San Francisco, Palo Alto, or Los Angeles) with hybrid work arrangements.
Competitive benefits and an annual discretionary bonus are offered. California compensation range: $260,000 to $365,000, depending on experience.
- 3–5 years' experience in construction law or equivalent.
- Litigation experience with construction disputes (delay/disruption, payment claims, breach of contract).
- Experience preparing and negotiating construction contracts and change orders preferred.
- Admission to the California bar required; excellent academic record and strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
