Midlevel associate opportunity in the firm's Pacific Northwest construction practice, open to candidates based in Seattle, Portland, or Anchorage. The role combines transactional work and litigation support for commercial and public construction and design matters.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating construction and design agreements, advising on contract terms and risk allocation, and supporting dispute resolution and litigation. The team works with both custom and industry-standard forms, including AIA, AGC and DBIA agreements.

The group offers structured mentorship and significant client-facing responsibility, with opportunities to work across transactional and contested matters on regional construction projects.

  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience handling construction and design contracts and related litigation in a law firm or in-house.
  • Active bar admission and residency in the state of the office where the attorney will be based (Seattle, Portland, or Anchorage).
  • Demonstrated drafting and negotiation skills on construction agreements; familiarity with AIA, AGC, and DBIA contract forms.
  • Experience supporting or handling construction-related claims or litigation; strong client-service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.
