A national consulting role for commercial real estate lawyers available through a global legal consulting platform. The role suits experienced, self-directed lawyers who want flexible consulting engagements across Australia, including in-house secondments, project-based placements and ad-hoc support for firm teams.

The work covers acquisitions, financing, development and disposals of commercial property, and related contracts such as leasing, facilities/management agreements, procurement and construction. There are also opportunities on investment-led matters including fund formation, structuring and joint ventures.

Consultants join a managed panel and receive dedicated support, access to practice resources and professional development while working on assignments that typically range from short-term projects to multi-month placements.

Qualified to practise in Australia with unrestricted practising rights
Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience, preferably with top-tier law firm, financial institution or in-house secondment experience
Strong technical experience in commercial real estate: acquisitions, financing, development, disposals, leasing and construction contracts
Experience in investment fund formation, structuring or joint ventures is desirable
Comfortable working as a consultant/casual or via an independent practice; self-starter with strong client-focus, communication and stakeholder skills
