Corporate Environmental Associate — Environmental

Mid-level associate role in a national corporate environmental practice, open to candidates in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston or Philadelphia. The position focuses on supporting corporate, finance and real estate transactions with environmental law counseling.

Responsibilities include conducting legal research and drafting, assisting with environmental due diligence and risk allocation in M&A, financing and real estate matters, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and working on disclosure and remediation strategy. The role involves regular client interaction and collaboration across transactional teams.

• JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the hiring office jurisdiction
• Approximately 3 years of relevant environmental law experience (law firm or government experience preferred)
• Experience supporting environmental aspects of M&A, financing, securities or real estate transactions, including due diligence and disclosure
• Familiarity with federal and state environmental statutes and regulatory processes (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, TSCA) and ESG/climate considerations
• Strong legal research, drafting, communication and project-management skills; ability to work independently and in cross-disciplinary teams
