Mid-level associate role in the corporate group of a major international firm’s Chicago office, focusing on private equity and middle‑market M&A matters. The role involves hands‑on drafting and negotiating of complex acquisition and investment agreements and running key aspects of transactions from diligence through closing.

Successful candidates will work as active members of deal teams, co‑leading client communications and negotiation calls, producing client‑ready transaction documents, and supporting a range of leveraged buyouts, add‑on acquisitions, divestitures, growth investments and joint ventures.

Candidates must be an active member of the Illinois bar.

3–6 years’ transactional experience (private equity, M&A, corporate finance focus)
Experience representing private equity funds, institutional investors, family offices or alternative asset managers and their portfolio companies
Proven drafting and negotiation experience on complex M&A and investment agreements; experience running deal processes from due diligence through closing
Strong teamwork, client‑facing and project management skills
Active member of the Illinois state bar
