Corporate M&A Associate — Chicago

Leading US firm seeks a commercial corporate associate to join its Chicago corporate practice with a primary focus on public and private M&A and private equity transactions. The role offers competitive compensation and a full benefits package.

They are looking for an attorney with hands-on transaction experience who can manage deals from inception through closing, lead due diligence teams, and assist with corporate governance matters. The team values strong drafting, analytical skills, and the ability to mentor more junior lawyers while working collaboratively across practice groups.

• 3–5 years post-qualification transactional experience, with emphasis on public and private M&A and private equity
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements and related transaction documents
• Track record leading deals from inception to closing and managing due diligence teams
• General corporate and corporate governance experience; strong writing and academic credentials
• Eligible for admission to, or admitted to, the Illinois Bar; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
