Corporate Real Estate Associates (London)

An exciting opportunity to join a growing Corporate Real Estate practice in the London office. We are looking to hire two associates: one at the NQ–1 PQE level and one at the 4–6 PQE level.

The work is real estate private equity and corporate real estate M&A, acting for financial sponsors, institutional investors, asset managers, developers and operators on public and private M&A, joint ventures, platform transactions and recapitalisations across UK, European and other cross-border deals.

This role is aimed at ambitious associates looking to build their career within a market-leading platform at the forefront of the most significant real estate transactions in the market, across all major asset classes and for some of the world’s most prestigious clients.

At NQ–1 PQE: a corporate lawyer with seat or early transactional experience in corporate/M&A, private equity or real estate, and a genuine and considered interest in building a corporate practice in the real estate sector.

At 4–6 PQE: a corporate lawyer with substantive transactional experience in the real estate sector, able to run deals day to day and to supervise more junior team members.

• Ideally England & Wales qualified, though strong candidates from other common law jurisdictions will be considered.
• Trained and qualified at a leading international or top-tier commercial law firm.
• Experience of, or exposure to, drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, joint venture and shareholders’ agreements and associated documentation.
• Experience of, or exposure to, corporate due diligence on property-rich companies, portfolios and platforms.
• Strong academic credentials, strong technical legal skills, commercial judgement and attention to detail.
• Proactive, collaborative and confident working directly with partners, clients and colleagues across practice areas.
• Clear and effective communication with clients, counterparties and internal teams.
• Open to candidates from corporate, private equity, private equity real estate or corporate real estate teams who can demonstrate the relevant transactional experience.
