Mid-level Associate, Real Estate

Joining our core London real estate team, you will work alongside 11 partners, 3 of counsel and 42 associates on a broad range of transactional work, including investment, development, acquisitions, disposals, leasing, joint ventures, large-scale regeneration, infrastructure and energy projects, real estate financings and restructurings, and pre-lettings. The group also benefits from first-class standalone planning, dispute resolution and construction practices.

Responsibilities include managing transactions, assisting senior lawyers and leading where appropriate, delegating and mentoring juniors, overseeing billing processes, strengthening client relationships, contributing to business development and marketing initiatives, and complying with all risk and professional responsibilities.

Ideally you will have 2-5 PQE in transactional real estate, be admitted to practice in England & Wales (or have recent transactional experience in the jurisdiction), and bring experience across development, investment, acquisitions, disposals and asset management. You will have excellent technical legal skills, strong drafting and negotiation abilities, a client-focused and collaborative approach, an innovative mindset, and a genuine passion for advancing legal delivery with technology.

Qualifications, skills and experience

• Ideally 2-5 PQE in transactional real estate; we are open to candidates outside this guideline who demonstrate the required level of competency
• Experience across real estate development, investment, acquisitions, disposals, and asset management required
• Admitted to practice in England & Wales or recent transactional experience within the jurisdiction
• Solid knowledge of the chosen area of law and industry sector(s)
• Excellent technical legal skills, including sophisticated drafting, negotiation, transaction management, risk identification and concise communication of complex issues
• Excellent academic record
• A client-focused and collaborative approach, with evidence of building trusted relationships and contributing to business development
• An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies, with a genuine passion for advancing legal delivery with technology and a willingness to be a ‘super-user’ within the real estate group
