Senior-paying party costs role within a large specialist costs product, working on a broad mix of disputes arising from personal injury, commercial, aviation, clinical risk and other liability matters. The role sits in a dedicated paying‑party team handling matters of up to c.£100,000 claimed value.

You will take carriage of a personal caseload, draft points of dispute, provide technical advice on likely assessed outcomes and act as a client-facing point of contact. The role includes contributing to operational delivery, quality control, financial management of files and supporting marketing/business development activity for the team.

Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or Costs Lawyer (or equivalent demonstrable experience)
At least 4 years' paying‑party costs experience preferred; candidates with strong competency and less experience will be considered
Experience drafting points of dispute and managing all aspects of costs litigation; handling caseloads up to c.£100,000 claimed value
Strong written and verbal communication, confident negotiator; advocacy experience desirable
Proven organisational skills, ability to prioritise, and strong teamworking ethos
Financially literate: experience of file-level financial management, billing/credit control and meeting productivity targets (role budget includes 1,440 chargeable hours p.a. for full‑time)
