Apply in confidence →Growing US privacy and cybersecurity team at a large international firm is seeking a mid-level associate (4–7 years) to join its Cyber/Data/Privacy practice. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices and will sit on a team that advises clients across technology, financial services, life sciences and media sectors.
Work is counseling- and advisory-focused and includes privacy compliance (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and related regimes), incident preparedness and breach response, privacy aspects of corporate and technology transactions (due diligence, data processing agreements and privacy schedules), and regulatory inquiries. The position requires client-facing capability, strong drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to lead significant engagements.
- 4–7 years post-qualification experience advising on privacy, data protection and cybersecurity matters (law firm or in-house).
- Practical knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and related U.S. state and federal privacy laws.
- Experience with privacy due diligence for transactions, data processing agreements, and incident/breach response planning.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven ability to engage directly with clients and manage projects.
- Strong academic record from an accredited law school.
