Apply in confidence →Senior in-house governance role to lead development and operation of an enterprise AI governance framework for a major international law firm. The role reports to the Chief Risk Officer and will sit on a multidisciplinary team responsible for responsible, ethical, secure, and compliant adoption of AI across the organisation.
You will design and implement policies, risk tiers, controls and approval pathways across the full AI lifecycle, partner with legal, information security, information governance and innovation teams, and provide advice to senior leadership on AI risk, regulatory compliance and ethical use.
The role includes oversight of AI-related risk and impact assessments, vendor due diligence, training and change efforts to build user capability and promote accountable AI use firm-wide.
- JD and qualified lawyer
- 6–10 years' practising experience at an international law firm
- 2–5 years' relevant experience in AI governance, risk or compliance
- Experience building governance frameworks, policy development and end-to-end program management
- Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of data protection, cybersecurity and third‑party/vendor risk considerations
