Apply in confidence →We are seeking an experienced employee benefits attorney to join a national employment & labor practice. This role supports employer-side benefits work across health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, wellness programs, COBRA, deferred compensation and executive compensation.
The position can be based in New York City, Baltimore or Houston and involves staying current on legislative and regulatory developments, counseling clients on ERISA and tax-code issues, and delivering clear, client-focused advice as part of a collaborative team.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 4+ years of experience in employee benefits, including familiarity with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code
- Experience with health & welfare plans, retirement plans, COBRA, deferred compensation, or executive compensation
- Strong analytical, writing and verbal skills; attention to detail and ability to manage matters in a fast-paced team environment
