Wage & Hour Associate, Employment & Labor — New York City

Fast-paced labor & employment team seeks a litigation-focused associate to handle wage-and-hour matters in New York City. The role centers on defending employers in individual and collective/class actions and related administrative and arbitration proceedings.

Day-to-day work includes litigating claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, New York Labor Law and state wage-and-hour statutes; advising clients on compliance and risk management; and representing employers at court hearings, mediations and arbitrations.

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• 3+ years' litigation experience; employment law background strongly preferred
• Experience with wage-and-hour claims, FLSA and New York labor statutes; class/collective action experience strongly preferred
• Admission (or eligibility for admission) to the New York bar
• Strong written/verbal communication, organization and project-management skills
