National labor & employment firm is seeking a mid‑level to senior associate or of counsel experienced in multiemployer pension and welfare plans and withdrawal liability. The role will work with employers and plan trustees on ERISA, PBGC, IRS and DOL compliance, and on disputes arising from contribution delinquencies and withdrawal assessments.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include counseling on contribution audits, funding and rehabilitation plans, plan and trust document review, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in arbitration, mediation and litigation related to withdrawal liability and fiduciary matters.

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 3–5+ years of ERISA/employee benefits experience, with emphasis on multiemployer funds and withdrawal liability.
  • Experience counseling employers or funds on contribution audits, funding issues, rehabilitation/funding improvement plans, and collection strategies.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; experience in arbitration or litigation preferred.
