Apply in confidence →Leading national firm seeks an associate to join its Executive Compensation group in Houston. The role focuses on advising on executive compensation and employee benefits matters in connection with mergers & acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
Successful candidates will collaborate with deal teams, draft and negotiate compensation and benefit provisions, and provide regulatory and tax-aware guidance on plan design and change-in-control arrangements. The team handles complex, high-value transactions for corporate clients across industries.
- 2–6 years post-qualification experience in executive compensation and employee benefits work
- Experience supporting M&A or other corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiating compensation provisions
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, tax-qualified plans, equity awards, and change-in-control arrangements
- Excellent drafting, project-management and client-facing skills; team-player attitude
