Employment Associate / Senior Associate

A leading national law firm with a strong regional presence is seeking an Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing, employer-focused practice in Leeds or Sheffield.

Working alongside a highly regarded partner, you will advise a broad range of employer clients, with particular experience in the education and STEM sectors advantageous but not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 4–8 years' PQE who is looking for greater visibility, autonomy, and the chance to help shape a growing practice within a supportive and well-regarded team.

You will handle the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, from day-to-day advisory work to complex and sensitive cases, including Employment Tribunal and higher court proceedings. You will also take on leadership responsibilities, including managing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers, as well as contributing to business development initiatives.

• Qualified solicitor with 4–8 years' PQE in employment law.
• Technically strong with a solid grounding in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Commercially aware with excellent client-handling skills and the confidence to build trusted relationships.
• Proven ability to lead matters and mentor junior lawyers.
• Experience advising employer clients in the education or STEM sectors is an advantage but not essential.
