Apply in confidence →We are seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join a leading Employment practice in London. You will support a large team of 70 fee earners and 17 partners, working on complex, high-profile matters for both employers and senior executives across contentious and non-contentious employment law. The role is client-facing and thought-leadership focused, central to driving success for the department and the wider firm.
You will shape and deliver the department's knowledge strategy, collaborating with other Knowledge Lawyers and the wider firm to implement strategic knowledge visions. You will also support business development initiatives, use AI and other technology to improve client service delivery, and produce content for client alerts and external publications. You will coordinate, design, and deliver internal and client training alongside the firm's Academy, maintain precedents, know-how, and client guides, and provide horizon scanning on legal and practice developments. You will manage the department's intranet pages and know-how repositories, work with Risk and Compliance to embed best practices, and respond to technical queries from fee earners. You will also undertake in-depth research and contribute to the development of national policy and legislation relating to employment law.

- Ideally 5+ years PQE with experience gained in a comparable, renowned law firm or chambers
- Deep knowledge of employment law and practice
- Real enthusiasm for, and a proven record of, business development and knowledge commercialisation
- Excellent writing and drafting skills with strong attention to detail
- Great teamwork skills and the ability to work independently with self-motivation
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and with clients
- Able to embrace and promote new ways of working and aptitude with emerging legal technology
- Personable and confident, able to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and external organisations
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Adaptable and flexible approach
- Proactive and takes initiative
- Sound operational knowledge of Microsoft programs
