Short-term in-house opportunity with a large freight/transport organisation. This full-time, hybrid role is a fixed-term contract for approximately three months and will sit within the internal legal team supporting employment, safety and people-related matters.

The role suits an experienced employment lawyer who can provide practical, commercially focused advice on Australian employment and workplace relations laws, lead enterprise-wide projects that touch on employment, safety and organisational change, and draft employment documentation and investigations.

You will work closely with senior leaders, People & Culture and operational stakeholders as a trusted in-house advisor; strong stakeholder management and the ability to run matters independently are essential.

Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law (private practice or in-house)
Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, modern awards, enterprise agreements and anti-discrimination laws
Proven experience managing complex employment and safety-related projects and providing commercial advice
Experience drafting employment agreements, policies, investigation reports and executive correspondence
Current Australian practising certificate and right to live and work in Australia
