Apply in confidence →Boutique-to-national employment litigation team seeks an associate to handle employer-side litigation and counseling matters. The role focuses on defending lawsuits and agency charges, representing employers in court, administrative proceedings, arbitration and mediations, and assisting with training and preventative advice.
The hire will work on a range of employment claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/contract disputes, non-compete and employment tort matters, and may assist on collective/class litigation where applicable. The position is based in the Portland office and will collaborate with regional colleagues on client work.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; strong academic record
- Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience with employment/labor litigation experience preferred
- Active Oregon bar admission in good standing; Washington admission preferred
- Familiarity with state and federal agency procedures and employer-side defense practice
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work effectively on teams
