Apply in confidence →Growing national law firm seeks a mid-level environmental litigation and regulatory associate to join its Washington, DC office. The role focuses on complex environmental litigation and permitting matters under major federal regulatory programs.
The successful candidate will handle litigation and administrative proceedings, support permitting and regulatory strategy, and work with clients across industries on matters involving NEPA, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act and related statutes. The team offers broad exposure to national matters and collaborative, team-oriented practice.

- 2–5 years of litigation and regulatory experience in environmental law (PQE)
- Substantial exposure to infrastructure, permitting and administrative law (NEPA, ESA, CWA, etc.)
- Comfort handling litigation and administrative proceedings; strong drafting and advocacy skills
- Excellent academic record, attention to detail, proactive and team-oriented work style
- Experience with chemicals, pesticides, consumer products or emerging contaminants is a plus
