Top-tier law firm in New York is seeking a finance associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization group. The role focuses on special situations and restructuring-related financings, both in chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Candidates will work on liability management transactions, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, bankruptcy exit financings and other special situations financings for capital providers and sponsors. The team regularly represents hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions on high‑profile, top‑of‑capital‑structure matters.

Law school class years 2019–2023
Experience representing creditors or borrowers on liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and/or special situations financings
Familiarity with chapter 11 cases and out‑of‑court restructurings
Experience advising financial institutions and alternative capital providers (e.g., hedge funds, CLOs, private equity) on restructuring financings
