Top-tier law firm is seeking an associate to join a market-leading Business Restructuring & Reorganization group in New York. The role focuses on special situations finance and restructuring work, including both in-court chapter 11 matters and out-of-court restructurings.

Successful candidates will work on liability management transactions, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, bankruptcy exit financings and other special-situation financings for creditor and borrower-side clients. The team regularly represents hedge funds, CLOs, private equity sponsors and other financial institutions on complex capital-structure matters.

Graduating law-school class years 2019 through 2023 (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrable experience on liability-management transactions, DIP financings, exit financings or special-situations financings
Experience representing creditors or borrowers, including hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds or other financial institutions
Familiarity with chapter 11 restructurings and out-of-court workout processes
