Finance Associate

Role Summary: This is an excellent opportunity for a finance lawyer (1–4 PQE) to join a highly regarded national finance practice in Manchester. You will work on a broad mix of sophisticated banking transactions, including corporate lending, leveraged finance, and real estate finance, with a diverse client base ranging from clearing banks and private credit funds to private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist on a wide range of transactional finance matters, including cross-border and domestic deals.
• Support senior team members on complex transactions, taking responsibility for drafting and negotiating core finance documents.
• Contribute to transaction management and help drive deals forward efficiently and collaboratively.
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development initiatives.
• Work closely with colleagues across the firm’s national and international platform.

• Qualified lawyer with 1–4 years’ PQE in banking or finance law (ideally including corporate lending, leveraged finance, and/or real estate finance).
• Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering practical, commercial advice.
