About You
You are an experienced front-end construction lawyer with a minimum of 6 years’ experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience & Expertise
- Demonstrated experience advising on front-end construction, procurement, and major project contracts within the energy, resources, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial, procurement, engineering, construction, and services agreements.
- Proven ability to support contracting and procurement functions on a high volume of commercial transactions across multiple business units and project streams.
- Experience advising on procurement strategies, tender processes, contract risk allocation, and contractor engagement models.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance legal risk, commercial objectives, and operational requirements.
- Experience advising on post-award contract management issues, including contract interpretation, variations, claims management, and dispute avoidance strategies.
- Ability to provide strategic legal advice on contractual disputes, settlement negotiations, and commercial resolution pathways.
- Experience supporting major capital projects, including LNG, offshore and onshore construction, drilling, exploration, decommissioning, and energy transition projects.
- Experience collaborating with procurement, contract management, project teams, and senior business stakeholders.
