Special Counsel, Professional Indemnity

We are a global law firm with a leading insurance practice, seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Perth office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a well-established and highly regarded team, advising leading insurer, corporate, and government clients on complex insurance and commercial disputes.

Our practice has a strong focus on construction professional indemnity and first-party property matters, including disputes involving construction defects, property damage, indemnity and coverage issues, and business interruption claims. You will also work across a broad range of financial lines matters, casualty and product liability claims, regulatory investigations, and marine and transport-related disputes.

• Substantial experience in handling complex insurance litigation, particularly professional indemnity and construction-related matters.
• Proven ability to lead multi-jurisdictional disputes across State and Federal courts.
• Strong technical skills in liability, indemnity, and coverage analysis, with experience in financial lines, casualty, and product liability claims.
• Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to act as a trusted adviser to insurer, corporate, and government clients.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
• Contribution to business development initiatives and a commitment to the success of the practice.
