Senior counsel role in a nationally recognised statutory compensation team based in Melbourne. The team advises and represents statutory compensation schemes and government insurers across a range of contested and advisory matters.

The role involves providing strategic, pragmatic advice and court advocacy in Victoria, owning a litigation caseload, mentoring junior lawyers and building trusted client relationships. The team is collaborative, values innovation and supports flexible ways of working.

At least 5 years post‑admission with substantive experience in statutory compensation law and litigation in Victoria.
Practical knowledge of Victorian statutory compensation legislation and experience handling matters for government insurers or scheme administrators is highly desirable.
Proven advocacy experience in Victorian courts and the ability to manage a busy litigation caseload autonomously.
Strong client relationship, file management and mentoring skills; high attention to technical detail.
