Apply in confidence →Leading healthcare transactions team seeks an associate with strong M&A experience to join its national practice. The group advises providers, payors, PBMs, manufacturers, distributors, and private-equity-backed health care businesses on complex transactional, regulatory, and related matters.
This role is open in the Boston, New York, or Washington, DC offices and will sit on the transactions team handling joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers for large provider and private equity clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing due diligence and the deal process, coordinating with co-counsel and advisors, and taking the lead on smaller matters or discrete aspects of larger deals.
The firm follows a hybrid workplace expectation (approximately 60% in-office) and expects candidates who can integrate quickly into a national practice while delivering high-quality client service and supporting professional development toward partnership track expectations.
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to, or eligibility for admission to, the MA, NY, or DC bar
- 3+ years of M&A/transactional experience in the health care industry
- Experience with joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers; ability to manage deal teams and coordinate specialists
- Strong written and oral communication, organization, attention to detail, and client-service skills
- Familiarity with federal and state health care regulatory regimes (e.g., Anti-Kickback, Stark, state licensure/COP/CON) preferred
