Apply in confidence →12-month fixed-term in-house role for a data privacy lawyer to join a global firm's UK privacy and compliance team. The role focuses on advising the Data Protection Officer and Office of General Counsel on UK/EU GDPR, cross-border data transfers, vendor due diligence, DPIAs and e-privacy matters.
The post-holder will support privacy governance across business functions and practices, help deliver training and policy updates, assist with data subject requests and compliance initiatives, and contribute to integrating other jurisdictions' requirements (for example US and APAC regimes) into the firm's global programme.
The role is offered across UK offices with flexible and hybrid working options and will suit someone seeking high-quality, practical in-house privacy work within a major international law firm's legal team.
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 1-5 years' PQE in data protection/privacy.
- Practical experience advising on UK and EU GDPR and international data transfers.
- Experience with vendor due diligence, contract review, DPIAs and e-privacy (marketing) issues.
- Strong drafting, stakeholder engagement and project-driven mindset; able to work collaboratively across business functions.
