A leading global law firm is expanding its national Tax practice and seeks an Indirect Tax Lawyer or Senior Associate to join the Sydney team. The role will involve advising on a variety of transactions and client matters across industries, with opportunities to work on both technical advisory and contentious indirect tax issues.

The team provides market-leading direct and indirect tax advice and supports clients on tax risk, governance and practical compliance strategies. This role offers exposure to broad-industry work, internal development programs and opportunities for secondments and cross-jurisdictional collaboration.

Minimum 4+ years' post-qualification experience in indirect tax at a top-tier law firm, Big Four firm or in-house specialist indirect tax team.
Law degree and completion of practical legal training (College of Law or equivalent).
Strong technical knowledge of GST and/or stamp duty and land tax regimes (including surcharge regimes) and associated jurisprudence.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong delegation and matter-management ability across multiple concurrent matters.
Demonstrated appetite to develop expertise in emerging areas of indirect tax and contribute to a growing practice.
