Apply in confidence →Top-tier international law firm is seeking an associate with at least 3 years' employment counseling experience to join its global Employment & Labor practice. The role supports cross-border and global employment work, working closely with colleagues across multiple offices to advise on international workforce matters.
Day-to-day responsibilities include employment diligence for transactions; counseling on policies and terminations; drafting and negotiating employment, retention and restrictive covenant agreements; and advising on mobility and global compliance issues. The position involves client-facing work for a range of companies, from growth-stage businesses to large multinational clients.
The role is hybrid with regular in-office presence, requires flexibility and willingness to travel, and expects solid drafting, counseling and project-management skills. Candidates should have strong academics and immediately transferable experience in cross-border employment matters.
- 3+ years of employment counseling experience; international/cross-border experience strongly preferred
- JD from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in the U.S. jurisdiction where you will be based
- Experience advising on employment diligence, termination processes, restrictive covenants, and drafting/negotiating employment and retention agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and client-service skills; ability to travel as required
