Washington, DC office of a leading international law firm is seeking an experienced associate to join a busy customs team within its international trade practice. The team advises trade associations and importers across industries including consumer products, technology, energy, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.

The role involves counseling on customs law and compliance, conducting regulatory research, and drafting client-facing memoranda and filings. The team works on a mix of advisory and contentious matters and expects associates to contribute independently while collaborating with more senior lawyers.

Approximately 4 years of post-qualification experience with substantive customs experience at a law firm
Demonstrated research, writing and analytical skills
Self-starter able to manage matters independently and work as part of a team
Admitted to, or eligible for prompt admission to, the District of Columbia Bar
