Apply in confidence →Top-tier US practice is seeking an IP litigation associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation group. The role is open across multiple U.S. offices and welcomes candidates from junior through senior associate levels.
The position is focused on patent litigation and related IP matters involving life‑sciences technologies (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry, materials, and related disciplines). The associate will collaborate with case teams, scientific experts, and clients on technical analyses, discovery, briefing, and proceedings in district courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Applicants should be prepared to contribute to litigation strategy, draft and review pleadings and motions, and assist with expert- and fact‑development. Submission materials requested include academic transcripts and a writing sample.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the relevant state bar
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related scientific discipline (required)
- Strong analytical, research, drafting, and communication skills with ability to explain complex scientific concepts
- Prior patent litigation experience preferred but not required; experience with life‑sciences technologies strongly preferred
- Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office preferred
