Apply in confidence →We are seeking an IP Technology Specialist to support a busy intellectual property practice focused on technology and semiconductor matters. The role is supervision‑level work supporting patent prosecution, opinions and litigation, with significant exposure to client counseling and IP transactional matters.
Work may be based in any of several U.S. offices, including Boston, Denver, New York, Palo Alto or Washington, D.C. The position involves preparing patent applications and office‑action responses, conducting scientific and patent searches, drafting instructions for foreign counsel, and assisting attorneys with patentability, validity, freedom‑to‑operate and infringement analyses.
- J.D. or equivalent legal training; technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics or a related technology field preferred
- Experience or strong interest in patent prosecution and supporting patent litigation matters (drafting applications, responses to patent offices, prior‑art searching)
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work with inventors and cross‑functional teams
