An established international litigation team is seeking a NQ to junior associate (NQ–2 years PQE) to join its Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss group in Edinburgh. The role offers exposure to high-value, complex personal injury and large-loss matters acting for insurers, corporates and public bodies.

You will work alongside experienced lawyers on liability investigations, medical evidence review, quantum assessments and interlocutory court work, while managing your own caseload and complying with client SLAs and court timetables. The team operates in a collaborative, flexible environment with structured learning and progression support.

This is a hands-on role involving drafting pleadings and legal advice, taking witness statements, client reporting, and supporting business development and marketing activity within the casualty group.

NQ–2 years PQE (all suitable candidates considered)
Practical experience in personal injury litigation, preferably catastrophic injury and large-loss matters
Strong drafting, advocacy support and case-management skills (CCMCs, interlocutory hearings)
Comfortable with client liaison, meeting SLAs and producing management information
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team and a commitment to professional development
