Apply in confidence →Top-tier national law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Seattle or Costa Mesa office. The role focuses on employment litigation and counseling, with responsibility for defending wage-and-hour class actions, single-plaintiff litigation, and conducting investigations and advisory work.
You'll work closely with senior litigation lawyers on case strategy and will take on increasing responsibility for brief writing, motions practice, depositions, trial preparation and courtroom appearances. Experience with union/collective-bargaining matters is a plus.
For Seattle and California applicants, the posted salary range is $235,000–$275,000; candidates may have the option to elect a reduced-hours track with proportional compensation adjustments.
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 3–5 years of employment litigation and counseling experience in a law firm setting.
- Admission to practice in Washington or California, or willingness to seek admission in one of those states.
- Proven litigation skills: substantial brief writing, motion practice, depositions and trial experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and litigation case-management abilities.
- Experience with wage-and-hour class actions and familiarity with labor/union matters is desirable.
