Apply in confidence →Busy New York office seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join a team that represents hospitality-sector employers, including restaurants, boutique hotels and entertainment/nightlife venues. The role combines day-to-day employment counseling with defense of employment litigation.
Typical matters include wage-and-hour disputes, discrimination claims and class/collective actions, with frequent counseling on New York State and New York City employment rules. The position reports into the local Labor & Employment group and works closely with hospitality clients.
- Juris Doctor (JD) required; admitted to practice in New York
- 2–5 years of relevant employment litigation and counseling experience
- First-chair experience handling discrimination and/or wage-and-hour litigation
- Experience with class/collective wage-and-hour litigation required
- Practical knowledge of New York State and NYC employment laws; familiarity with the NY Hospitality Wage Order preferred
- Strong legal research, drafting and advocacy skills
