Top-tier U.S. law firm is seeking a transactional labor & employment associate with 3–6 years' experience to join a national team that sits at the intersection of employment law and corporate deal work. This is a transactional and advisory role focused on personnel issues that affect deal value, post-closing integration, and leadership transitions rather than a traditional employment defense practice.

The role involves working closely with corporate deal teams, private equity sponsors, and senior client executives on employment diligence, executive mobility and compensation matters, restrictive covenant issues, separation arrangements, and post-transaction workforce integration. The position is open to candidates for several U.S. offices (including Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Chicago, and Dallas).

  • 3–6 years' post-qualifying experience in labor & employment law with a transactional/advisory focus
  • Experience supporting employment diligence in M&A or private equity transactions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience with executive employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant provisions
  • Demonstrated judgment working with deal teams and senior client stakeholders; ability to manage sensitive, high-stakes personnel issues
