Join a national conflicts and business intake team supporting a major international law firm’s lateral hiring and onboarding process. The role sits within the General Counsel’s office and focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving potential conflicts and professional-responsibility issues before lateral attorneys or matters are onboarded.

Typical work includes reviewing conflict questionnaires and reports, drafting memoranda and waiver/notice letters, advising lawyers on conflict analyses and related policies, and coordinating with candidates and practice teams to facilitate matter transfers. The role requires handling large volumes of information under tight deadlines and collaborating with a small team of lateral conflicts attorneys.

The position offers a hybrid/remote arrangement subject to location approval, occasional travel to US offices, and participation in the employer’s standard benefits and compensation programs.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active bar admission in the candidate’s jurisdiction.
  • Minimum ~3 years post-JD legal experience; prior conflicts or professional-responsibility experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills; excellent organization and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of rules of professional conduct and experience drafting conflicts memoranda/waivers or conducting conflicts research is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, respond promptly to inquiries, and participate in occasional on-call rotations.
