Experienced partner-level lawyer sought to join a well-established, full-service international firm’s Charleston office to lead and grow the Finance, Corporate and Securities practice locally.

The role focuses on advising private equity, venture capital and capital markets clients on transactional matters across lending, equity and securities work. The team handles cross-border and domestic transactions, and the office is looking for a senior lawyer who can originate business and provide high-quality client service on complex deals.

This is a partner hire role with expectations for practice leadership, client development and mentoring more junior lawyers.

Proven partner-level experience in finance, corporate and securities transactions (private equity, venture capital and capital markets).
Track record of originating and managing client matters and ability to develop new business in the region; portable client relationships preferred.
Experience supervising teams and mentoring associates; strong project and relationship management skills.
Bar admission and good standing in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction; excellent written and oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
